This whole knife making thing started out as a combinations of my growing up hunting and fishing in the outdoors of Oregon and an interest in working steel which had me welding on logging equipment at the age of 15 years old. My interest in heat treating and manufacturing tool steels is a core to what I do. Design is a core issue to me while the knife continues to be a useful tool in the human hand and it continues to be important even in the day and age of all this electronic technology.
