Based on the original design by Lucas Burnley, the Squid™ II features several refinements and upgrades, starting with satin-finished Böhler M390 blade steel for supreme edge retention and wear resistance. It’s larger than the original and now features a liner lock (a first for the Squid line) that holds the blade safely and securely when open without impacting the sleek exterior that gives the knife a smooth in-pocket feel. Finally, the exquisite machining and rounded spine contribute a level of refinement not previously seen in the Squid™ family.
But at the end of the day, the Squid™ II is just as much a workhorse as the original, with both a thumb stud and flipper for deploying the blade with one hand and IKBS™ bearings for a fast and smooth opening. Add in the long-lasting Böhler M390 steel, and you have a knife that will pay dividends for years to come.

When you ask Lucas what drew him to the knife world as a teenager, he’ll tell you it was stories of survival, off-path adventures with his father, and a healthy dose of action movies.
Over the years, he has experimented with a broad range of styles to artfully combine classical examples with modern materials and techniques, such as with his Obake™ knife. Lucas believes knives are a personal expression of independence. We couldn’t agree more.
