Eternalizing a legend with a knife that made CRKT® who we are. There's no way to pay enough respect to one of the most renowned knife designers of all time. But we did our due diligence with this collectible re-issue based on the original M16® knife. Only 200 in production and a CRKT®.com exclusive—this one deserves a prominent space on your display shelf.

Kit Carson of Vine Grove, Kentucky was not just one of the most famous custom knife makers to grace the planet. He's also remembered as a Master Sergeant after proudly serving in the Army for 20 years, he's remembered as a masterful hunter and fisherman, and he's remembered as an important, and patient, mentor, and friend.

In September 2014 this legend passed on. His unprecedented craftsmanship and ingenuity perseveres in his impressive line of knives—particularly in the M16®—our most popular everyday knife series of all time.

To pay tribute, our collectible reissue features a blade made with Damasteel® Damascus Steel and set it in a Dense Twist Pattern, which consists of RWL34 and PMC27 steel twisted together. The handle is made with lightweight titanium and features a frame lock to secure the blade in place while open.

Kit was a winner of countless awards and the CRKT® history book hardly features a chapter without him in it. This commemorative design lives on to pay respect to his life's achievements.

If you want a commemorative knife that's as timeless as the man who designed it, select the M16®-02 Damascus.
