Because you never know when your adventure might get crazy -
Being prepared is a lifestyle. It takes careful training of both mind and hands to make your environment work to your advantage. And that's where these paracord bracelet accessories, designed by Tom Stokes, help you mold your situation to give you every chance of survival.
The compass, LED and fire starter combo is the premier accessory in the line. It features all the essentials and it fits perfectly on the CRKT Para-Saw™ Bracelet . It's made from a durable injection molded, glass filled nylon that will stand up to rough weather and intense adventures. The magnesium fire rod is 1.125 inches (28.575mm) long and detaches from the main housing to set your tinder ablaze. The LED light has an included LR41 battery that's ready for use and replaceable. The compass will help you get your bearings and make your way to safety.
To attach to a paracord bracelet, simply unscrew the disc-lock on the underside of the accessory, slide it over the bracelet, then reattach the disc-lock to keep the accessory from sliding. The accessory is designed to fit snugly on a "Solomon Bar" weave bracelet made from 550 paracord and may fit other similarly sized paracord survival bracelets as well. The opening of the accessory is .9 inches (22.86 mm) wide and .43 inches (11.43 mm) tall.
The Survival Bracelet Accessory helps you get home from your latest adventure so you're still around for your next adventure.
Also available in a Compass and Fire Starter Version , and a Compass and LED Version .
The quality of the item is great. The size is as expected with three devices incorperated into it. Easy to use and attach to a pre-made bracelet. Because of the size, I will wear this only when hiking, but will have in my EDC bag always.

I find it perfect its small enough and its multi purpose. Well built tough plastic, I use the flashlight a lot. The compass is nice along with the fire starter nothing wrong with having a just in case when your out in the woods . The fire starter works great I had to play with it .

The compass is of good quality and the light and fire strike seem to be fine as well. The only thing that surprised me was the size. It is fairly large and if you are already wearing a watch on one wrist it feels a bit awkward to me. To be fair I am not sure how you get three product on one devise and make it smaller, but from a practical use stand point, I really do not see myself wearing something that large on my wrist while backpacking and certainly not on a daily basis.
I ended up making a special strap and hung it off my pack, which kind of defeated the purpose of the compass, since I wanted easy access to it. I will likely go back to my button compass on my watch band.

I'm a little disappointed as the unit is a very hard plastic I had thought it would be a mild softer rubber.
Also this twisty thing seems to be a PITA to deal with for sure. Have to remove it to get it out of packaging. Hmmmm
I'm thinking a slightly thinner overall product made of rubber would grip a bracelet without the twist lock and feel better when wearing it.
It seems to be well made, and the LED light is quite bright, no idea on how long it will last mind you.
Fire starter will be tested, I'll weave some JUTE into my bracelet and see how well it works.
Might pick up the saw bracelet I don't know yet
Overall I suppose this could get you fire, it will get you light and the compass will at least point you in one direction so long as you use it accordingly
JM2CW Oh CHINA was on it
