I bought mine at Wal-Mart too, like most of us. In fact, I bought 2 (two is one and one is none). I've been carrying it IWB (had to shorten the lanyard a bit), and I love it. I carry a big folder clipped in my front right pocket, which is visible. But since I usually wear a fleece vest, no one knows about my little surprise. My next investment will be a tactical light. I always carry a Fenix E01, but an upgrade is long overdue. I think this little tactical blade and a good tactical light would be great for ladies walking to their cars at night, with situational awareness switched on, like Mr. William's video suggests. :)
Just bought this knife from Walmart. I bought it to use as a neck knife and is working great so far. I have been using it a lot ant it is still shaving sharp. You guys has done great so far. I look forward to putting it through its paces for my channel Original American Preppers (Ozarks) on YouTube. How about that shameless promotion. I’ll be sure to post another review on here if anything goes south but so far it is great.
I love it, it's a fantastic blade, I carry it on my weak side so I can have different grip/hand. I like the idea of carrying iwb but the lanyard given it too long for me. I replaced the 550 line with one of those 'aircraft mechanic key rings', linked it to the top hole in the sheath and it works like a charm, same low profile application but a shorter draw
Just bought it from Walmart today and I love it It was pretty sharp out of box but I took it out to a good stone. Like the carry system hope they start carrying the belt lanyard thing I would only carry with those One question, how do you acid etch like that please tell me And thank you CRKT.
Got this for my birthday on 9/13/2015, wife saw me looking at it at a local store(Walmart). Like the knife fine in general, hate the sheath as the knife has NO retention in it at all, even under horizontal SOB carry. Rattles about worse than an old car needing new motor mounts Even the IWB with lanyard method, I can't trust this sheath, it's just THAT loose Blade is nice, once false edge was removed, and is nice enough for minor chores. Would buy one same size/style in a heartbeat if it was a tanto style blade with an consistent spline thickness for EDC, even with crumby sheath (Heavy hint-CRKT). Gripping is excellent and firm, overall style is just what I been wishing for. I have quite a few CRKT blades, long time fan, and this is my first almost-disappointment-ever. - CRKT Response: It sounds like you received a defective sheath, our Customer Service department will be in touch with you and will get you a replacement sheath.
First off i have to say i rarely do reviews for knives.... but i have fallen in love with this EDC.... i managed to make my belt clip from the Minimalist to work... fits nicely behind my back on my belt..... feels great in my hand.... my only complaints is that it didnt have a belt clip and my blade seems to have a blemish or maybe some glue used to glue the wrap down, i cant seem to get it to come off and i dont really want to scrub down on it... im hoping it will come off with use over time..... over all i give this knife a 3 out of 5...... if not for the belt clip and blemish on the blade i would give it a 5 of 5 for its class..... it really is a wonderful EDC...
Awesome knifeway more solid than any othe knife brand I have usedwould highly recomend
This is my 3rd CRKT knife adding to my M16-14 and stinger. Good simple design, great for defense, perfect addition to a LEO gun belt, IWB, behind mag pouch. Knife it self I give a 5 out of 5. The sheath is a good design and the lanyard is a great idea to secure the sheath when you pull the knife. Only problem I find is the sheath is almost too snug. Way too hard to pull out, you really need to use more force then you should in order to get this knife out. It would of also been nice to put the holes and extra piece of the sheath on the spine side that way you could use your thumb to assist in opening without the risk of slicing your thumb for that I give the sheath a 2.75 out of 5, if it wasn't this snug I'd give it a 4. I'm looking to have my own sheath made to fix the issue
I really love the look and feel of this knife. However i'm fairly certain that it cannot be 56-58 on the Rockwell scale. I bought mine from AG Russell in Rogers AR. I did have to buy the display knife bc they were sold out, which was fine and the tip had a small flaw from being handled, also fine
My first ever "real" knife and i love it. great for anything that i need it for.
