Assisted opening, low profile and deep carry clip - EDC dream knife, anyone?
The Incendor™ is designed by veteran knifemaker, Ken Steigerwalt. It's an assisted opening knife that features the Outburst™ assist mechanism in combination with the Fire Safe™ thumbstud opening system. These two innovations combine to create an assisted opening knife that won't go off in your pocket, yet opens quickly and easily by pressing down on the FireSafe™ thumbstud and pushing outward.
The Incendor™ has a traditional drop point blade that's bead blasted, then coated with a gray titanium nitride finish. The blade has a slight hollow grind and is just under 3". A stainless steel locking liner keeps the knife secure when open. The G10 scales are milled with slight flourishes that add grip to the ergonomic handle. A deep carry pocket clip is designed for one position, tip-down carry.
If you're looking for the perfect everyday carry knife, your search is over: the Incendor™ is the knife for you.
Love this knife, quickly becoming my favorite EDC. I saw a prototype and literally bought one the first week they went on sale. The Veff Flat Top Serrations are wonderful on a smaller knife. So easy to sharpen. I don't know why CRKT doesn't talk this up more or show the combo edge version in pictures. The G10 handle has topography which makes it feel very solid in hand. The Outburst and FireSafe combo are fun to use. And finally, the deep carry pocket clip is perfect and feels very secure. I had to work the clip a little at first as it was too tight. I only wish that I could convert this knife to a tip up carry. I'm going to buy a couple more to give as gifts this year.
