Alan Folts is a knifemaker and metalworker in Greenville, N.C., who makes a remarkable range of custom objects, including titanium chopsticks. His Minimalist™ neck knife has proven to be very popular, so we are offering our new CRKT production version.
Here is a very small and lightweight knife which gives surprising comfort and control, thanks to the unusual geometry of the full-tang 2.0" Wharncliffe blade, aided by three finger choils, hand-contoured green/black Micarta® scales, and a braided fob.
The Minimalist comes with a custom-fitted Zytel® sheath and neck paracord for inverted carry as a neck knife. Because the knife and sheath weigh only 1.6 ounces together, it is a personal carry you will barely notice.
Unlike many small neck knives, this handle is really functional for a wide variety of daily cutting tasks. The blade point gives excellent penetration, while the Razor-Sharp straight edge is perfect for scraping, woodworking and precision carving.
True to its name, this really is a minimal fixed blade, but it is also the most useful for its size that we have seen. And it's certainly a great value.

This knife is a very good knife. The design is very (cool) it fits in my hand just fine and I have big hands. And the neck holster makes it very easy to get the knife out when needed. Thank you Alan keep up the good work.

I RECIEVED MY KNIFE JUST BEFORE LEAVING OUT ON A GOOSE HUNT IN THE GARWOOD RICE PRAIRIIES NORTH WEST OF HOUSTON TEXAS. THIS KNIFE DID A GREAT JOB DRESSING OUT BOTH GEESE AND DUCKS. IT WAS VERY HANDY AND THE KNIFE FIT WAS VERY TIGHT IN THE NECK HOLSTER, WHICH HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH A LOT OF NECK KNIVES I LOOKED AT. OVER ALL I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS LITTLE KNIFE. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT KNIFE... J.D.

I have not been excited about a factory knife since I held my first Schrade Old Timer-I have owned and lost several so far. I love my Folts knife and I want to buy one for all of my brothers. It is so much like a knife I was designing for myself that I canceled my plans and bought this. The cutting edge is flat so it is easy to sharpen on my whet stones. the size is small enough to fit in my fist so I can cover it as I reach into the chest cavity of a deer to sever the esophagus and the trachea when field dressing. This is my new favorite knife and I plan to carry it in my possibles bag-I had been using an ancient boy scout folder that has always had some sort of extra magical weight in my hand that feels perfect- but I know that my Folts will be the knife that every generation of my ances
