Launce Barber and Tom Stokes designed the patented* Li'l Guppie™ as part of our innovative I.D. Works™ line of tools. It's a smaller and lighter version of our popular Guppie™.
The adjustable wrench jaw opens to 10 mm so you can use it for all kinds of light repair and assembly jobs.
You can carry the Li'l Guppie on a belt loop, D-ring, pack or rope. (Remember, the cool carabiner is not designed to be weight-bearing.)
It has a small high-carbon stainless steel blade with a Razor-Sharp edge. You can open and close it with one hand using the blade slot.
At the Li'l Guppie's tail is a simple blade screwdriver tip that will handle many smaller-size screws in a pinch.
The base of the jaw guide has a Phillips screwdriver which will fit smaller Phillips-head screws.
A stainless steel pocket clip also makes a lightweight and compact money clip.
The little curved fin is designed to be a hook that opens bottle caps and metal jar lids.
Weighing only 1.9 ounces, the Li'l Guppie is a handy lightweight companion.
US Patents 6,223,372 and D513,579. Carabiner is non-weight bearing.
I once used the Gerber All in one tool years back but after slipping off of a particularly stubborn bolt and nursing the quarter sized blood blister at the heal of my thumb, I gave it to my brother...retribution for locking me out of the house naked when we were young. I gave up carrying all-in-one's since the designs were all either too much or too bulky for the intended use.
The Guppie is perfect in size and function. The security guards at work, who seem to struggle with classifying the all-in-one tools as contraband, are oblivious to this design and I carry it throughout my workday without the slightest hassle. The form and function are perfect for my uses and I will most likely purchase two more, one for my emergency backpack and one for my range box. Thanks for the forethought...
