Launce Barber and Tom Stokes designed the patented* Zilla-Tool™ Jr. as part of our innovative I.D. Works™ line of tools. It is a slightly smaller and lighter version of the original Zilla-Tool, which makes it easy to carry while retaining high utility.
The Zilla-Tool Jr. 9065K features a black-on-black non-reflective tactical finish.
The pliers jaws are spring loaded, with a slight needle nose taper. They have both fine flat and circular toothed gripping surfaces. Near the base of the pliers, is a very useful wire cutter, and also a notch near the handle for wire stripping.
You can store the two screwdriver hex bits in the Zilla-Tool Jr.'s handle reliefs. It also accepts other standard hex bits with the help of an adapter.
To open the knife blade quickly, just press the little "flipper." It also acts as a blade guard when the blade is open.
Metallic surfaces are black EDP, while the Zilla-Tool Jr.'s rugged scales are injection molded black glass filled nylon.
The custom stainless steel clip will hold the Zilla-Tool Jr. in your pocket or on gear, or it can be removed if you want to use the included nylon sheath with belt loop and snap closure.
The Zilla-Tool Jr. can open bottles too, using the end of its pliers handle.
I purchased the zillatool jr for my girlfriend to take to guatemala. We haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but it definitely fits the bill for someone with smaller hands, looking for a simple useful multi-tool that isn't weighed down by extraneous gizmos. Sturdy, compact and no frills, with a black oxide finish, quick access to both knife and pliers. I expect her to get good use from it, and I may just have to buy a regular zillatool for myself.

My zillatool Jr. arrived the other day I just cant thank CRKT enough for deciding to adapt its larger model into a smaller version for us "ordinary" folks. Its a very compact yet useful tool/knife that's lightweight-thanks to the use of glass filled nylon for the handle.Ive removed the clip-as it doesn't easily fasten to anything I wear-and I carry mine(an all black oxcide model) in the pouch provided.I intend to purchase a Get-a-Way driver to add even more versatility to this fine product.Glen
