This is just one of those tools that works. Simple and effective. It will put an edge on your blade in no time. There are so many tools that are all promise and never deliver, thankfully this one just works

I purchased this sharpener along with the Ignitor with Veff serrations. I am extremely disappointed with both. The diamond grit has COMPLETELY worn off the flat side after sharpening a half dozen kitchen knives. I watched the tutorial video a bunch of times and was very excited to use it. However, the only thing it did do properly was fix the Ignitor's Veff serrations after I screwed them up right out of the box. I wouldn't recommend either product. One of the worst sharpeners I have ever used.Knives cut the dimond coating off the mental. I have used the large end about five times and the coating is gone in places on every section. Don't buy ***CRKT Response - We'll reach out to you to find out how we can make this right for you. recently recieved one free from my snapon tool dealer with a couple crkt knives i bought. i love it compared to the other sharpeners i have wish i knew of it sooner would have saved me alot on sharpeners i dont like or work poorly.

Buy this sharpener first if you are in need of one. I am obessive about having a sharp knife blade and on all of my tool blades. I have over a dozen sharpeners and this for me is by far the quickest and best, especially for the field. I watched the video at least 6 times before I attempted to sharpen a knife. I was familiar with the use of sandpaper, but found the advice with regard to a Sharpie invaluable. Light bulb went on advising how to set the correct angle. I sharpened a dull hatchet to razor sharp. In my opinion, this is a terrific sharpener and I would buy it again. Have been trying to sharpen an old (cheap) knife with the Veff Sharpener and have been only marginally successful. I think it will be a very good purchase and will do exactly as it is advertised to do once I can use it to its potential. It is a very high quality tool and I'm sure it will last a lifetime. As soon as this arrived in the mail I tested it out on an old pocket knife, promptly ruining the blade. After watching the video, I figured out what I was doing wrong, and was able to bring the edge back on my old knife sharper than the day I got it. Excellent product... if you remeber to watch the video
