The Surf N' Turf® Folder designed by Alaska Fishing and Hunting Guide Russ Kommer, is an ideal knife choice for fishing, hunting, or around camp. The 5-inch long fillet blade does well for cleaning and filleting the day's catch, or makes for a great boning knife in the hunter's pack. Around camp you can also use it for a handy kitchen knife. Its slender, curved handle shape has contoured POM scales, which provide lasting durability. Now you can easily outfit your outdoor adventures in the true sportsman style.
Super Star Flips open and LOCKS Huge benefit. Took me a little while to get used to the flex of the blade. Love it Holds an edge. Easy to resharpen. I've not done northern pike - yet. Works great on Walleye and Eelpout (burbot, lawyers) works awesome. Thanks Russ.

It is hard to find a quality folding filet knife. This one fits the bill. The blade is fairly stiff, which for me, makes it great for Northern, ok for Walleye, less than great for Crappie. I dont consider it a replacement to full sized fillet knife however. Perfect tackle box bait knife. But where it really shines is as a traveling kitchen knife. Vacation rentals never have good kitchen knives. Great for bigger fruit - cantaloupes, pineapple in Costa Rica. When on a fishing trip in Canada this thing does more work in the cabin kitchen then in the fish house. Only Cons would be the weight if you intended on backpacking, and the grip which could be softer for use in the fish house. Although, now that I'm looking at it, I may have an older model with different grips. It may be less heavy now.
