The aluminum handles are anodized black and then hand buffed to expose the silver aluminum, creating an attractive, randomized pocket worn finish to the handles. Its modified drop-point blade is easy to open single handedly with the blade opener flipper. The Ripple designed by Ken Onion also features the innovative IKBS ball bearing system for a strong, smooth pivot.

Great knife except the screws that hold it together like to fall out.I would suggest Locktite or similar to help avoid the issue.

what is the point of making a shorter version of the aluminum one? its a bit cheaper... is that it? ***CRKT RESPONSE - Many people have requested the shorter version of the Ripple Aluminum for a variety of reasons. Smaller for pocket carry, shorter blade that allows use in more restrictive local edged tool ordinances for example. Thanks, CRKT
