Outstanding knife. It is not small, but I use it professionally on-the-job, and the size is perfect. Smooth folding mechanism that, with the AutoLAWKS feature, assures me that it will remain open until I decide otherwise. Great steel for the blade insofar as holding a sharp edge is concerned. My only issues would be that CRKT didn't support additional American jobs by keeping the production of all their knives in the U.S. (for a $130 knife, I don't care to see "Taiwan" stamped on it), and lastly, like some other companies that charge less for their knives, it would be nice if CRKT offered free sharpening of the knife when returned to the manufacturer at customer's expense. Outside of those items that don't reflect on the knife itself, the M21-14SF is a solid performer and recommended

Very nice knife. Every time I use it I find myself taking a moment to admire the design and workmanship.
M21- 14SF This is my first CRKT to own, and am pretty sure it will not be my last. I am a big person with big hands and wanted something that I could hang on to. I was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship that went into the knife, and carry it with me every day. I was though, not impressed with the sharpness of the blade when I first received the the knife. I could actually see microscopic flat spots on the cutting edge of the blade, not good Luckily I own a complete Lansky sharpening system with both stone and diamond capabilities. Now I have a sharp knife that I am proud of and impressed with. My hand tools are Snap-on, my carry weapons are Smith and Wesson / Sig, my aircraft is Cessna, and now my edged carry is,,, yep, you guessed it,,,, CRKT

I have had several CRKT folding knives before, as a matter of fact I still own them. My last knife was the M1 (also designed by Carson), and I loved it. But this knife out does the M1 hands down. Sturdy, sharp, hefty and has a nice feel to it. I like the longer blade length. The serrations work very well on rope and wood. I like the 4 position carry clip. The built in "hilt" is very handy as well.

Just purchase the M21-14SF and it is an outstanding knife. I also have owned the M16-13Z and M16-10Z and I am finding that the quality of CRKT knives to be excellent. The M21 will be going to work with me as my duty knife, as I am a police officer and SWAT team member. The M16-13Z is my everyday knife that I carry and the 10Z stays in my truck for whatever use. For the price they are great knives and will trust them to do whatever is needed. Kit Carson did well

I have had many CRKT folders, and this is as good as any. This knife is a beast, very sturdy and sleek. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a long lasting, quality piece.

Balance, edge, aesthetics and durability come together flawlessly in this knife. It was easily the best knife I have ever owned- unfortunately, it was removed from my work items by a person unknown only a short time after purchase. The short time I had it, however, it proved extremely useful and, frankly, a joy to use. I will be ordering a replacement at the nearest oppurtunity.

I bought this knife for my everyday carry on patrol. It feels great in my hand and when its locked in the open position it feels as good as a fixed blade knife. I would recommend this knife to anyone that is needing a sturdy and reliable knife.

I bought this as a gift for my son, a soon-to-be Army officer and infantry platoon leader. To be sure I had the right knife, I "tried it out" and am so pleased with it that I will be buying myself one. It has great balance in your hand, both open and closed, but for my average sized hands, it is a little awkward to close with one hand. I would probably get better with practice, but I don't have the same problem with my daughter's smaller Kit Carson folder. Nevertheless, I'd highly recommend this knife to anyone in need of a full-sized working tool they can rely on in daily use.
