Just like their black tactical SF counterparts, these Desert G10 knives share a unique design offering a combination of Carson Special Forces series features requested by military procurement specialists.
All have combined Razor-Sharp and patented* Veff™ Serrated edges. Blades are available in several styles and are titanium nitride coated for corrosion resistance.
The open InterFrame build uses stainless steel liners with Desert Tan G10 scales with their optimum gripping texture and inherent insulating properties making them cooler to the touch in hot environments. All knives in this series are equipped with four-position carry options on belts or webbing (Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry). Now you can match your professional knife with your desert surroundings without compromising tool quality.
Excellent knife. Have emmerson and Spiderco and this is by far the sharpest out of the box. Do not like the fact the description says (Not designed for tip up carry). Do not know why. If anything its more likely to deploy pulling it out of pocket tip down. Look at the force on the knife wen you pull out your pocket. The stud will hit the back of the pocket in the direction needed to open the blade. If carrying tip up the force on the blade when removing will actually be in the direction needed to close the blade

What a terrific knife Literally sharp enough to shave with, yet convenient, small, comfortable in the hand. My first CRKT purchase, and definitely not the last.

Great knife. Came extremely sharp. The auto LAWKS system is amazing, it makes the lock up even more solid than it would have been. There is literally no blade play. The spear point design is beautiful as well as practical and the tan Ti-Nitride coating is just such a great color. The only issue I had was the finish on the handle. While the large holes are counter sunk all of the small ones are not. In the pictures I saw all of the aluminum counterparts to this knife have this feature, I don't understand why CRKT did not keep this consistent. Countersinking all of those holes is a quick fix and would make the knife look nicer. Other than this one tiny nit-picky thing this is a great knife and I highly recommend it.

I have two of these knives. Love them both and will not consider another. Everyday use and handling here. Extremely sharp and well made.

Absolutely the best folding knife I own. I have an OEF special edition that's survived three deployments and countless flight hours. My only complaint is the lack of an integrated seatbelt cutter in the handle.
