I've owned in excess of 200 different knives in the last 20 years or so, both in the service (USMC) and at home. And I must say, the M16-14ZLEK (BIG DOG) is hands down the Best everyday carry blade that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I mean I've gone through a lot of knives and I can be picky, I have no qualms about being the first to point out flaws, wether it be craftsmanship, style, or carry comfort and this knife is absolutely w/out flaw I can find nothing wrong or in need of improvement with this knife. I am impressed beyond words You've got a fan for life

I bought thid knife for keeping in my vehicle for emergencies and love the beefiness, serrations and the seat belt cutter. The IBS deployment system on this knife is unparralelled among my other knives that have a partial assist mechanism in them
thanks for a great product

Purchased this knife as a primary duty knife. I work patrol and SRT. I was looking for a knife that had glass breaking capabilities. After carrying this knife for a few weeks now, I am happy to review and state that this is one of the best "work" knife I've ever owned. Previous blades I have used include Gerber, Benchmade, and MOD. This knife performs as well as ones I own that cost three times as much. I have used the glass breaker on two occasions with success. I have not used the seatbelt cutter, although I did have a situation where I could have. I did not think about the integrated cutter, instead, I just flipped the knife open and slashed the seatbelt. Oh well, maybe next time I highly recommend this knife to anyone in emergency services, fire, or police work.

This knife is great. It is exactly what I have been looking for.
I do not have any negatives when it comes to this knife.
Seems to be very well built and handle and blade seem to be strong and durable.

this is the best made knife I've ever had the pleasure of possessing period I use it every day, and I have put it through hell and back and it hasn't phased it. I've convinced my brothers and work buddies to purchase it and they feel the same. The handle has great grip surfaces in the right spaces and the full hilt (maybe not this model) is excellent. I love the size of this folder it may be too large for most but if you need a serious tool for the job this is it, I highly recommend

The M16-14ZLEK is a serious knife and it is a very substantial knife. I rotated into this CRKT M16-14ZLEK from an Emerson design Benchmade that served me well for more years than I can remember. The addition of the glass breaker, the LAWKS safety, the belt cutter and the Carson Flipper make this M16-14ZLEK an As Good As It Gets combat folder I have not sharpened the AUS 8 blade yet but, I am sure Mr. Lanskey will enjoy the same relationship with this new Tanto as my old Tanto. This is a substantial combat folder

Now do this knife with a full hilt and a G10 handle like my M16 Desert with the Tanto and Veff Serations (I can live with normal serations) and Ill trade my Desert into my dealer tomorrow for it.

I have tested and carried belt cutters and such on abandoned cars and the street. I have found some do not stand up to the advertised task. I picked up my first M16-10z a year or so to carry off duty and really liked it. Since I had other tools in my kit when in uniform it wasnt a big deal that this little knife didnt have all the features. Since I retired I only carry one knife. The M16-14ZLEK is very well made, no play in the blade and as in the little brother, is smooth and easily opened one handed. It uses AUS 8 Steel and had a great edge on thick tanto blade. It is versatile and I like the bigger blade. I havent had the chance to try it on glass or seatbelts but the carbide tip is sharp and has the correct geometry. The seatbelt cutter slices paper. No cons but a little bigger than exp
