This knife offers a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists.
The dual grind Tanto blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt very rare in folding knives.
Blade, frame and hardware are nonreflective tactical black. Blades receive a coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit's trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard as is one-hand opening and closing which is quick and smooth.
All SF models feature our exclusive patented AutoLAWKS™ automatic safety, which turns the folders into virtual fixed blades automatically.
The M16-14SFGL is equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing. They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces use.
As a left handed knife user, I found this knife exceptionally useful. I have several folders, but this is the only one that I could find that was comfortable for left handed use. With my other knives, I am forced to either switch to my weak hand to close them, or risk cutting myself with an awkward grip.
This knife performs just as well as its right-handed counterpart

Let me begin by admitting I am not a "knife" person -- I really know very little about tactical knives but was interested in one as a discreet self-defense mechanism in sensitive areas where I work where concealed-carry of a firearm is not an option. I started looking at knives offered by CRKT and liked the looks of this knife, when I found out it was available in a left-handed version I was ready to try it out. The knife seems to be very well made and quite rugged. the action of opening and closing the knife blade is straight-forward and smooth. I really like how the knife feels in my hand, all the parts are precision machined and I am pleased with it so far. Even though quite by accident I am glad I pleased with the purchase and feel it will last my lifetime with no problems

This is a surpurbly well balanced knife with a very well designed blade, expically the Veff serations. Although I purchased a left handed knife in error, it handles just as well right or left handed.

Some years ago I purchased my first CRKT M16-3. I was extremely impresses with the quality. Recently I purchased an M16-14FG Tanto blade, an M21-14SFG-G10 handle with VEFF serrations and an M16-13SFGL (the left handed version was an error, however, it is just as easy to operate a right handed version).
These are not pretty knives with exotic wood handles in a display case, these are extremely high quality, purpose built, blade specific working knives with very well designed handles, intended for Military, some Law Enforcement, and civilians with bladed weapon training. If you can find a better knife, which I doubt, buy it.
