M16-14SF description
Our aluminum InterFrame build SF folders share a unique design offering a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists. The dual grind Tanto blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— very rare in folding knives.

The M16®-14SF Big Dog Aluminum is our hefty utility version, with a 3.875" (98 mm) dual grind Tanto blade and full-size handle with butt pommel.

Blade, frame and hardware are non-reflective tactical black. The blade receives a black titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit's trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard. One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth.

This knife also features our automated liner safety innovation which automatically sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To close the knife, pull the red button lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position.

Our aluminum frame SF features contoured scales of hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum, with a perimeter radius for a comfortable grip with or without gloves, stainless steel liners with friction grooves, and a premium AUS 8 stainless steel blade. The Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge is standard.

All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing. Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry. They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces use.

Previously, I had purchased the M16-10KSF. In comparative, the M16-14SF achieves what you would expect. Its very well made and completely high quality. The knifes have the same base features and capabilities except the M16-14SF is all steel with larger blade and handle. Excellent knife that is perfect for hunting and camping.

i was taking my knife apart to clean it and somehow lost the rubber bushing that spaces the blade between the grip. im wondering how i go about getting a new one CRKT Response: On our website, we have a free parts request page. All you have to do is enter your information and we will send the parts out to you, free of charge. Here is the link, I would use the comment box section of the page and request that we send out a tool or wrench so you can replace your parts right away. Hope this helps!

Good grip, opens easily but not so easily that it will open accidentally when you do not want it to. I am on the fence about the AutoLAWKS mechanism, but I getting used to it. The first CRKT knife I have had where the belt clip really can be moved where you want

I just received my M16-14SF today, and I must say that it is the best knife that I have come across. It is made of top notch material, and it seems to be a perfect balance for an everyday use kind of knife. I have served in the military for 4 years, hunted most of my life, and had quite a few knives throughout this time. However, I have not had a knife like this one. It is a must for any knife owner :) Kevin

Fantastic knife fits great in your hand if you have larger than average hands. The quality of this knife is also unbelievable.

I am most pleased with my purchase of this fine knife. It hasn't let me down and instills a good bit of confidence just by having it in your pocket. Keep up the good work and keep the quality up there. Loyal customers are willing to pay for the real thing.

I have had this knife (M16-14SF) for almost 7 years. It has accompanied me through Kuwait, Germany, Iraq, and its everyday life stateside. I never leave my house without it, and it has never let me down. My CRKT has outlasted every other knife I have ever owned (KABAR included). I have beat it, dropped it, kicked it, and overall abused it through sand, water, dirt, rain, and grime for seven years. I even once had to use to cut the kevlar lambskin on my buddies vest off in Iraq, my CRKT even did that. I have never been so happy with a product, or a company in my life. I sadly just lost my knife two days ago and I am buying a new one on payday. I tell all my friends, family, and others that I have never owned, bought, purchased, or was given, a more reliable product than this.

This is the first knife of this type that I have purchased. I feel that it is everything that I read on it and what all the reviews that I read had to say on it. Thank you, Jim K
