M16-14ZSF description
The service men and women of the coalition forces in the Middle East and Afghanistan require cutting tools that can stand up to the harsh demands of the desert. Our Carson Desert Tactical Folders have been developed specifically to blend into the desert environment.

Our M16®-14ZSFmodel features our super rigid InterFrame build with 420J2 stainless steel liners, threaded stainless steel back spacers, and Desert Camo pattern glass filled nylon scales. The blade is a non-reflective bead-blast finished AUS 4 stainless steel. It blends and almost disappears in the desert.

Our tactical SF model features two Carson Flippers, resulting in a true hilt when the blade is opened. Our Big Dog glass filled nylon version has a 3.875" (98 mm) blade and full-size handle with a pommel which is exceptionally powerful in tactical situations. Weight is a hefty 6.3 oz. (179 g).

Each M16-14ZSF comes with two stainless steel clothing/gear clips, extra screws and a Torx® tool, allowing four-position carry on belts or webbing— tip up, tip down, left or right. Please note: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.

It features our exclusive patented* AutoLAWKS safety, which automatically turns the folder into a fixed blade when the blade is opened and locked.

One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth, the result of precision tolerances and lubrous washers at the blade pivot. The dual ambidextrous thumb studs with checkered surfaces provide instant access in any circumstance.

The blade has Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges.

*U.S. Patent Nos. 5,596,808 and 7,437,822

great knife i have had it for about 8 months and it has done everything i have thrown at it the only con i have is i have had to sharpen it like 4 times and it got some surface rust out of the package but other than that a really great knife i would recomend to anyone. ***CRKT RESPONSE - Thank you for the great review. Regarding the surface rust - It is a high performance stainless steel and we encourage everyone to maintain a tactical blade with a light layer of machine oil on the blade to keep the steel fresh. http://www.crkt.com/knifesafety If it came out of the box that way, please let us know immediately and we will take care of it for you. Thank you, CRKT

Love the Knife. Use it as my daily pocket knife. Its strong blade stays sharp, opens fast and closes easy with a little practice. As a veteran I would happily take this knife to the field everyday. Mark

This is the fourth that I've ordered, and still not disappointed. I find myself coming back to buy their products because of their great selection and quality knives. So far this one is one of my favorites and recommend it to anyone. It came very sharp out the box and opened very easily. The design is great and overall build it exceptional. I like it's double hilt design, handle, and blade construction. It's tough and deceptively large for a knife that fits well in the pocket or concealed at the waist. I take it everywhere with me and provides peace of mind. Durable, sharp, tough, and looks great, what more can I say. Keep up the great work CRKT

I bought this knife today at a gun show and like it so far. It is easy to open and reasonably priced for this type of knife. My dad said it was fake for the price I got it for.

I have been using this knife for the last 3 years in the sandbox and have no complaints. It is the best all-round knife I have ever had. I would never go out of the wire without it.

I bought this knife because I use knives a lot in everyday life. This knife is amazing. It is tough and stays sharp. I will always buy this knife, but the way things are going, unless I lose it, I won't have too. Pros: quick to open, smooth yet tough. Cons: my friends hate me for having such a great knife. Thanks and Gig'em,
