M16-14DSFG description
In the process of developing our line of Carson special forces G10 M16® models, it became apparent that there was a demand for these models from coalition forces serving in desert environments. These models have Desert Tan blade and scales.

The M16®-14DSFG Big Dog G10 is our hefty utility version, with a 3.875" (98 mm) dual grind Tanto blade and full-size handle with butt pommel. It weighs 5.9 oz. (167 g).

Just like its black tactical counterpart, this knife shares a unique design offering a combination of Carson SF series features requested by military procurement specialists. It has a combined Razor-Sharp and patented (1) Veff Serrated edge. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— up to now rare in folding knives.

Blade and scales are non-reflective Desert Tan. The premium 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade receives a titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit's trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard. One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth.

The open InterFrame build uses Desert Tan scales of G10, and stainless steel liners with friction grooves. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive gripping texture, light weight, and the insulating properties which make it cooler in heat and warmer in cold than metal.

It also features our exclusive patented (2) AutoLAWKS safety, which automatically turns the folder into a fixed blade when the blade is opened and locked.

All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing— tip up, tip down, left or right. (Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.)

They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces desert use.

1. U.S. Patent No. D559,939 2. U.S. Patent Nos. 5,596,808 and 7,437,822

It is truly a work of art. I work with the department of homeland security as a border patrol agent, and this knife is perfect for my line of work. Very helpful in any challenge that presents itself. Design is amazing.

Wonderful knife. I am using it for a wide variety of tasks during my deployment to Afghanistan and have zero complaints. When I get home, I will pass it on to my son and buy another one for myself. Have yet to find a downside to this knife's design or quality.

I have had two other brands of work knives in the past, this is the best knife yet. I had Tom Veff put his serrations on the whole blade. I work as a deck mechanic on tug and barges and use my knife regularly to cut large diameter lines, and the blade holds a good edge.

This is a top quality knife, I'm pleased in every way, bought 2 more CRKTs and they are awesome as well. This one is a little long for EDC but still doable and gives me confidence when I wear it. fit and finish are top notch.
