In the process of developing our line of Carson special forces G10 M16® models, it became apparent that there was a demand for these models from coalition forces serving in desert environments. These models have Desert Tan blade and scales.
The M16®-14DSFG Big Dog G10 is our hefty utility version, with a 3.875" (98 mm) dual grind Tanto blade and full-size handle with butt pommel. It weighs 5.9 oz. (167 g).
Just like its black tactical counterpart, this knife shares a unique design offering a combination of Carson SF series features requested by military procurement specialists. It has a combined Razor-Sharp and patented (1) Veff™ Serrated edge. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt up to now rare in folding knives.
Blade and scales are non-reflective Desert Tan. The premium 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade receives a titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit's trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard. One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth.
The open InterFrame build uses Desert Tan scales of G10, and stainless steel liners with friction grooves. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive gripping texture, light weight, and the insulating properties which make it cooler in heat and warmer in cold than metal.
It also features our exclusive patented (2) AutoLAWKS™, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation taken to the next level. AutoLAWKS™ automatically sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To close the knife, pull the AutoLAWKS™ red button lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position.
All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing tip up, tip down, left or right. (Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.)
They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces desert use.

This is a geat knife for the money No other company makes as bad looking of a knife as CRKT does I love the tan color scheme and its tacticoolness The steel is not the sharpest ever, but with the right sharpener, it works great

Love the color of the knife a lot. Keeps a really sharp edge and the color hasn't scratched off due to use as of yet. Love the double safety. I know the blade wont close on accident with the double safety. Great weight to it as well. Would definitely recommend it to a friend or family member. Great price for a great gun.

This is knif is great. I think one of the best out there. Out of the box the blade is very sharp, you could shave with it. I use this knife daily. I would buy another. Worth the money.

Great knife . I use this knife for just about everything on a day to day basis and like the fact it is always available for situations I hope never happen.
This is my second and may buy a third for future use.

Excellent carry knife, have two of them. Original from Cabella's as a carry knife in crazy California. Secondary with full hilt for carry and combat as required. Excellent in the waist band, nice piece all around.
