I love this knife I usually don't like serrations, but the serrations on this knife are great I found out by slicing my thumb while stripping wire. ^_^ Great knife, flipper is awesome and helps get the blade out fast. While washing it out after a salty water experience, I had the misfortune to drop one of the washers down my sink drain. I received my M16-14ZLEK, the other day. Mine is BLACK. The easy flip, deployment, using the Seat Cutter/Hilt. I put a few drops, of zoom spout, oil on the hinge poimy, and it opens like glass. I drive a Semi-tractor, with a 30, yard trailer, full of HOT ASPHALT, in tow. If I flip it on it's side, by lifting up my box, I may be unable to open my door, and may have to break open my side window. After looking into my new knife, I feel CONFIDENT, that I would, be able to break the window, with the CARBIDE, MUCH. I RECOMMEND this knife to anyone who needs to DEPEND, on their knife.

I'm fairly critical of knives in general having 15 years of experience in the medical and military communities. This is a great product. The first thing that struck me with CRKT's M16-13ZE is the quality of the knife. The blade is made of quality steel and is razor sharp. With a proper amount of thickness to the blade and a good grind out of the box this knife has a durable edge that is easy to maintain. Handle is made of a slip resistant material. Even in wet conditions wearing vinyl gloves the knife doesn't easily slip. I really like the fact that the flipper / seat-belt cutter doubles as a blade guard. It's a very simple and elegant design that lets me open the knife nearly instantly and once open the safety keeps it open.

if youre a firefighter/emt in need of a good duty knife go elsewhere. the knife has rusted in the first 6 months of owning it and the "seatbelt cutter" couldnt cut a seatbelt if someone life depended on it....oh wait it does when seconds count this knife has failed me. should have just spend the extra money to get the benchmade it's my own fault for trying to save some money. ***CRKT RESPONSE - Thank you for your review, we appreciate the feedback. We do recommend keeping a 3 in 1 oil on the blade of the performance steels for the long term maintenance of the knife. Blade steels will rust (yes, including Benchmade) often if they are in a humid working environment.
