i may have over paid for this knife through snap on but i freekin love it. wicked sharp from the get go blade is easy to clean have not had to use the glass breaker yet but the blade opens very fast. its a little bigger than i prefer but im definatly getting used to it.

I just received the BLACK version of this knife. I LOVE IT It opens fast. I oiled it with a zoom spout, oil(TURBINE). Now it opens like spring assisted. I am an Asphalt truck driver. It I lift my 30 yard

Pros-
I work as a Field paramedic, so a dependable knife is a must. This knife is study, not too big, and not too small (fits in the trauma shear slot of pants). The finish and texture of the handle is excellent. Handling of the knife when using PPE concurrent with bodily fluids (blood, etcetera) does not impact the grip of the knife.
Con-
Takes about a week of use to break in the lock release.

One star off because the thumb buttons dont work for opening the blade. The seat belt cutter does, and very well. Perfect size and weight. Breaking in may help with the buttons, but after a few Weeks way to stiff. ***CRKT RESPONSE - The M16 is designed in such a way to incorporate the Carson Flipper for smooth, fast, one handed deployment. I bought a number of these knives as gifts for my groomsmen. All of us are campers, hikers, climbers etc... The size and weight make this knife a very useful everyday folder. I always carry mine in my back pocket.

I rate this 5 out of 5....Smooth easy to open, one hand to close. Just the right size for me as a daily work tool. Nice heavy blade that I keep razor sharp...Glad I can not see China on it (what I can't see won't hurt me). I have had to defend the quality in the past when others see china on my other Kit Carsons. Orange handle...not my first choice, but....I love this knife.
