Here is Kit Carson's M16® Every Day Carry (EDC) with our Zytel® InterFrame build. Our knife users told us, "We want an affordable work knife that we can give hard use without feeling guilty, and one that won't break us up if we leave it on a job site or drop it in the river."
We heard you. So we set about to make the Zytel EDC the best value in the work and sport knife world.
That starts with textured Zytel® scales and a dual 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. Assembled with Zytel back spacers and Torx® fasteners, the result is amazingly rigid. Zytel is a fiberglass-filled nylon that offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents. Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action.
The blade is AUS 4 high-carbon stainless steel with a bead-blast finish, which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, and also allows easy field-sharpening.
The M16®-10Z features a dual hollow grind Tanto-style blade with Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges similar to our "Big Dog" M16 models. The result is maximum blade strength and ability to saw through cord, webbing, nets or vegetation quickly.
Of course, if features the Carson Flipper, which speeds opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open.
The real breakthrough was our ability to engineer our patented* AutoLAWKS™ knife safety into all models, which automatically actuates when the blades are open, making these folders into virtual fixed blades when locked.
Add to these features the standard removable Teflon®-plated stainless steel clothing/gear clip plus the CRKT limited lifetime warranty, and you have one of the truly great knife values of our time.
*U.S. Patent Nos. 5,596,808 and 7,437,822

This knife is a very good knife, I have used this on a mission, and it hasn't failed me yet. It doesn't hold an edge very well, but some field sharpening fixes that, if you are looking for relatively cheap knife in price, this is the knife for you.

This is a great high quality knife. It's my second one because someone stole my first one. When I showed this knife to some of my family they went out and got another "flipper" type knife of another brand which was junk in my opinion compared to the CRKT. It was also very sharp out of the box. I didn't think the serrations were going to be much good for the size of the knife but I was able to saw through part of a 2x4 As for the people saying the bar sticks - I haven't had a problem with that. It was a little tougher to release at first but I think that's just because the lube had kind of settled and once I flipped it open and closed it a few times it was smooth as butter.

Other than the locking bar sticking it is a great knife. It is my work knife, and it hasn't let me down yet.

My daily carry knife, and by far my favourite design. It's comfortable to grip, to open and even close. I've never had it fold unintentionally and consider it to have passed my torture test.

Its a great knife. The only thing is if it takes too hard of a blow the lock can move too far over and it takes some force to get it unlocked. Otherwise, great
