M16-01KS description
The M16 –SS EDC Series - A proven knife design platform made simple, made tough, and made affordable.

If you are a fan of the Kit Carson designed M16 tactical folding knives you are going to want to check out these stainless steel (SS) variations.

Handles are shaped and contoured in the same confident grip M16 style, but are crafted of a retro flavored stainless steel. Handles are all finished in a classic black oxide finish. These folders are available in several blade style options including cutting edge configurations, each with their own user advantages to offer. Blades also feature the Carson Flipper for quick and convenient blade actuation—and the flipper doubles as an effective blade guard in the open position. Blade lock up is secured through the traditional framelock mechanism.

The M16-SS EDC Series is a straight up, "no frills" every day carry folder design that kicks butt in pure performance and value.

this knife is incredibly light in weight, and has a smooth opening action and is very sharp

This is my first CRKT knife and I am extremely impressed, and at this price point it's even more impressive. It opens quickly and smoothly, and the pivot is tight. The locking mechanism is very secure, as well as easy to manipulate with one hand. Very sharp out of the box too. I have already ordered another model. If I had one negative thing to say it's not about the knife, it's the tiny Torx screws. I bent the clip getting out of my truck on the 2nd day I owned it, and had to go hunting at Home Depot for a proper bit to take it apart and straighten in. A small tool in the box would be so much more convenient, like when you buy a red dot scope or Burris rings. Justin

Great for every day carry. Same quality I've come to expect from CRKT. Very satisfied.

This is my second knife from CRKT. The first is a 14k Summit series Mt Ranier, but I wanted an everyday pocket knife with a smooth (non serrated) blade. I am very pleased with it. It's small enough for pocket carry (you'll hardly even notice it) but large enough so you don't feel like you're using a toy. ... well made, easy open/close, comfortable to use or carry ... all-in-all just what I was looking for. thanks CRKT

5/5 Stars.Great look and feel. The open lever is a little stiff at first, but i prefer to break it in versus a too loose opening action. The blade is sharp and the weight just right. The pocket clip is tight, having lost knives in the past, I like this feature. This is my 2nd CRKT and I plan on buying more. I bought this for my husband's birthday since his old crkt knife needed replacing ( he had the old one for almost 4 years). We loved the old one so I was a bit weary to replace it but this knife lived up to my expectations I have seen a fair number of knives in my day seeing as I grew up with 5 brother all who do stuff outside. This knife is perfect for outside stuff and your normal everyday projects like my husband does. We both love it and I will be looking to get one for myself here soon.

I've only been a fair fan of CRKT until this little blade came along. I purchased it at Eagle 1 Enforcement and found it had an excellent blade right out of the box. I loved the way the knife sat in my hand, sexy but functional and easily concealable. The assist-open is stiff but smooth, and within a few minutes I could quickly and quietly open the blade. I'm not a fan of liner-locks and no more so for "frame lock" knives, but this one is tight at the moment and I have no initial fear of it collapsing shut on my hand. Speaking of which, this lock is thick, unlike many such devices and it takes a determined effort to release the lock to close the blade. The blade, is well-mounted and came to me very sharp. Just a few passes had it cutting hair. Overall impressive knife
