I have had this knife about 6 months now. It is a good knife for its size and I carry it daily. I am not a big fan of the AutoLAWK. There have been several times when I have flicked the knife open and the locking lever goes over so far that I have to take a small screwdriver or something similar to pry the lever back over. Luckily I have been at home when this happened and did not have to figure out how to carry it around with the blade open. I have recently noticed the screws holding the pocket clip have become very loose also.

A GREAT EVERY DAY CARRIER WITHOUT PRINTING A LUMP IN YOUR PANTS POCKET. YET EASIER TO GET TO THAN A STANDARD KNIFE WITH THE SLOT IN THE BLADE TO OPEN THE KNIFE

Excellent knife, I carry it everywhere. It is fast opening and really handy. AutoLAWKS works great, I feel very confident with that locking system. The handle is a bit small in my hand, but I can't carry a knife around like Crocodile Dundee(anyone remember him? lol), so that is to be expected. The handle does have good tactile sensation for its size.

Excellent little knife. Well made, good size, quality EDC knife. The flipper makes it just about as fast as a assisted opening. The auto-lawks system takes a bit of getting used to, but with a bit of practice, can be used with one hand. My only pet peeve with this knife, along with about 90% of other folders, is I like the ability to mount the pocket clip from the other end.

Good, sharp, reliable knife. I got this because I love my M16-01T, but I'm terrible about dropping, leaving, or forgetting knives. The tolerances aren't quite as good as the 01T, which occasionally makes closing the knife burdensome, but the overall quality is excellent. I suspect the closing issue will resolve itself as it gets broken in. In all, an excellent, solid 4, and a *fantastic* value for the money.

I recently purchased this knife. I'm very pleased with the knife. The blade is sharp enough to shave and the flipper works as well as any assisted opening knife on the market. I'm a fan of Zytel because of the weight savings. I have a decent collection of knives (100 ) with most costing twice as much as the M16. The reason I say this is that I hope you might listen to my (hindsight is 20/20) advice.
Did I mention how good the customer service at CRKT is? They are fantastic people to deal with.

I am impressed with the blade in terms of sharpness and it's general ability to hold an edge. The Zytel handle is also nice. I am not personally a fan of the Auto-Lawks system, but will learn to live with it as this knife is otherwise a great EDC.

I recently purchased this knife and I am very happy with it. The Zytel handle is very comfortable and I am sure that the grip will be secure, thanks in part to the perforations along the side, when the handle is wet or muddy. The flipper is lightning fast, faster than any flipper that I have used before. The AutoLAWKS take a few seconds to acquaint yourself with but it is strong lock and one that cannot be accidentally released. I am a gardener, fly fisher, hiker, etc., and most my knife use is fine work and the slim blade works well for me. And, it makes the knife easy and convenient to carry. The clip location allows for the knife to ride low and securely in the pocket. This is a very nice knife at a great price.
CRKT - please consider offering the 3" knife w/ a combo blade

3.5 on a scale of one to five. It's a good knife, my only complaint is that it has a plastic adjusting screw that changes the tightness of the blade. If you tighten the screw thus keeping the blade from being wobblie when extended it makes it exceedingly difficult to "flick" open. Also if it's loose which it can become from "everyday use" it gets not only wobblie but a bit loose and came open while attached to your belt.
Meah. Still a good blade. CRKT - The pivot screw is NOT plastic. All the fasteners are stainless steel. Also, we make the pivot screw with knurls so it is easy to adjust with your thumb depending on how you like your knives to open.

Owning the larger M21-02G and one of the first M16's with full aluminium frame (no flipper, no Lawks) I was looking for a smaller M16 for everyday use. When it arrived I was very disappointed.
The Zytel framed range of M16's is obviously an attempt to create a cheaper knive. And they look it
CRKT Comment: Zytel is a tough material that is used in a lot of knife handles. It does help keep the price down. Some people like it...some don't. It is a personal preference.
