Received my Ken Onion designed folder about two weeks ago now. Some initial comments-- Knife is very lightweight for appearance and has an excellent tactile feel when holding it or retrieving from pocket. It took a few uses to get feel of the opening mechanism but it slings the blade out. I always dont do it with enough speed and it does not lock open but a wrist flick along with the finger stroke works great.
The knife came extremely sharp right out of the box. The locking mechanism is solid and reliable. The build appears to be very good on entire knife. I do get a slight noise in hinge mechanism as if it needs some lubricant sometimes as I have habit of sitting around and repeatedly opening and closing blades on pocket knifes. Great knife especially for the price. Great blade.

This is the first CRKT blade I have ever bought hell this is the first blade I have ever spent $65.00 on.(I should have my head examined LOL) When I first saw this one I picked it up and fell in love with it. Very balanced , Best feeling folder I have ever held. Super sharp factory edge I could shave the hairs off my arm with it. I have had it for about 3-4 months My only Greif is the frame screws came loose and fell out. I lost all 4 out of mine and am waiting for CRKT to send me replacements. Also the super sharp factory edge does not last very long after quickly cutting about 4 fairly thin pieces of rubber it was still sharp but I could no longer shave with it. Other than that I have no complaints I just bought my second CRKT blade today the Ignitor with spring assist opening.
With the Ripple Aluminum you get a uniquely elegant design, silky smooth deployment, rock solid lockup, wicked sharpness right out of the box, light weight that rides well in the pocket, and an undeniable feeling of quality. When I add that all up, I know I have found my perfect gentleman's folder. Well done Ken Onion and CRKT
The balance on this knife is well beyond excellent. It seems that all to often the weight is all in the handle, but this knife is completely balanced. The opening of the blade is like silk, and it not only looks great, but has an amazing grip and feel in the hand. Well worth every penny.
My first Ripple. I love the look and feel of this knife. Weight is excellent and blade material holds an excellent edge. This will be primarily used for work but also as an EDC knife. The look is polished and quality is excellent. Overall a great value
Love this knife. Super light and has a great form. The jimping is super sharp and it fits well in the hand, I wear XL gloves.
Wicked sharp out of box as well.

This is my second Ripple and this is a good knife made much better. The original had a flimsy pocket clip that was always snagging on things, getting bent out of shape and eventually broke (it was replaced free of charge). The new clip is much more sturdy and resists snagging. Additionally, the liner lock mechanism has been improved. A good knife now great.
For design and quality this knife is clearly a ribbon winner. However, there needs
to be a caution posting for holding it in the closed position

I was quite pleased with the Onion. It has a nicely shaped and very well ground blade, extremely sharp, and easy to open and close with one hand. I've always been reluctant to carry a knife of this size, but the Onion fits very nice in my pocket and doesn't block access to it's contents.
