Absolutely love this knife. Tried it out on a tool truck by operating it one handed behind my back. Worked well first try. Misplaced it and immediately bought another. The only detriment I have is the pocket clip broke, but I don't consider it a big deal. Perhaps it can be beefed up to withstand what an old mechanic can put it through. All around perfect otherwise CRKT RESPONSE: Thank you for the review! Please know we have a free parts request page on our site. The Heiho knife with Veff serrations has become my go-to EDC knife. Well-balanced and very, very sharp out of the box, it feels great in the hand. There's an X-Factor in the feel of a knife that I don't fully understand, and this knife has it. The opening mechanism is easy and smooth, and when the knife is closed, it feels securely closed. I don't worry about it opening in my pocket. I've only had it for a few weeks, so it's too early to talk about how well it holds an edge, but I have high expectations. Bravo, CRKT and James Williams
Just got this knife for xmas and it's brilliant It is perfectly balanced, beautifully made and extremely sharp. James Williams and CRKT really know what they are doing. This knife is a great size for daily carrying or as a wonderful addition to a pocket knife collection. Can't wait to put this to good use.
The Heiho by James Williams is: 1) well made, 2) excellent materials, 3) extremely sharp, and 4) very fast to open. The handle fits will in the hand (and I have large hands)and is very nimble in use. The hardened steel is useful in this type of nice - but you'll have to put some extra time into sharpening it. If I keep it honed - after each use - and don't cut stuff that it's not designed to cut - it should last me a LONG time. Excellent EDC tool..
My favorite folder I bought this knife mainly because of all the controversy, it seems to have a lot of lovers and haters, upon receiving it I was amazed Wow this knife was sharp and easy to open, sadly I have butter-knifed mine. I went to cut a piece of that paper twine and it had some steel wire in the middle:(. Can't seem to get it back sharp again, saved up for two months to get this bad boy, now it's a paper weight. Wonderful tactical blade

Just like the other reviewers, I love this knife- a true beauty in appearance and smooth function. The next CRKT model that will go into my collection is the Veff serrated "Fossil". You guys make real art that performs exceptionally well. Thank you
I love the way this knife looks, the g10 is beautiful and the serrations are just plain sick. They work great for rope or small shavings of wood. The speed-assist is really fast, but the thumb stud kinda hurts your thumb when you flick it open because the blade is closed so tightly, but that's negligible. The one huge problem I have is that only the serrated part of the blade was hardened. The plain edge part of it was physically unsharpenable, and any remote edge I could get on it was removed by running the blade on a piece of paper. The serrations were perfect and razor sharp, but the plain edge was not. CRKT Respons: please contact our customer service department. Your knife should be sharp out of the box. We would be happy to take a look at your knife and replace it if the edge is not sharp.
Nice EDC knife great edge. Veff serrations are very handy for tough cutting jobs.
