Very disappointed. Advertised as hollow ground, but is actually convex ground. According to Greg Hughes at CRKT this knife requires professional sharpening. This knife has an edge grind like an axe. Do not expect to actually cut anything.
I am not a diver, so I have no idea of their special requirements, but I was looking for a tough, compact fixed blade, do anything knife. The Operator is definitely not that.
Also, the sheath is actually worse than the knife. If the knife was worth carrying (which, it is not, for me), it would require a usable sheath. You can kill a few hours taking the sheath apart and reassembling in different arrangements. None work.
I have, use, carry many of CRKT products and have been satisfied with them. This knife is a big disappointment to me

I love this knife. The blade easily cuts through just about anything and feels great in your hand. The sheath is why it doesn't get 5 stars

I'm a breath hold spearfisherman "freediver" and I LOVE this knife. the multi directional sheath can be mounted anywhere and on any wet suit in any position. Sharp enough to cut my kevlar spear shaft line with just a touch I bought this as a back up to my leg mounted titanium blade but it has quickly become my primary knife.

I'm in the Coast Guard and I recently bought this knife. I Love the knife sheath sticks a little but overall great combo. I use it at work all the time to cut line and all sorts of things.

Very happy with this knife. I am almost constantly outdoors, hiking, camping, etc... It has been very useful and has really held an edge well. I especially like the sheath. So many options and ways to carry. Very comfortable. Great design overall. Yet again, another great product from CRKT

I love this blade. The handle is very comfortable, the style of the knife is sexy, and the function is great. I used this knife for many years doing electrical type construction tasks, before it got stolen. I wasn't too excited about the sheath but it is nice to have options, I personally used a kydex sheath that hugged the blade perfectly, I really miss this knife. I will replace it eventually.

In addition to the other wonderful reasons given by other reviewers to buy this knife, i want to say that the way the sheath is designed is very good for concealed carry self protection. Inside the belt carry is very comfortable and the knife will lay flat against your body. Always lets you know its there. Additionally as a law enforcement officer I carry this knife as a 'last option' self protection measure and the serrated edge on the top is useful for cutting seatbelts or damn near anything else. Lastly the flat black finish comes in handy to avoid glinting.

This is by far my favorite knife of all time. It fits well in the hand, it can actually be mounted in any orientation to just about anything (unlike most 'tactical' sheaths), and it just the right size and weight for trail carry, kayaking, or diving without always being in the way.
The serrations on the back side are far enough forward so you still have a bit of a thumb shelf, which comes in handy quite often.

Great as an all around knife. Even good for diving. A less bulky sheath design would be nice. The plus side of the sheath is that it can be mounted anywhere and in any manner.

Just ordered this knife recently for a possible EDC and hiking knife. Grip is far more comfortable than I expected and having the serrated edge not in combination with the razor is so nice. I can see now why most military/survival knives are setup in a similar mannor.
Jim Hammond, CRKT,
Great Job
Thank you.
