I bought the Heiho Folder and it arrived yesterday. Lightweight, Good Blade. I Also own a Hissatsu Folder, I Prefer the Big Brother, Little Brother is Slower to open and the Manual LAWKS Safety Only Locks UP 50% of the Time.... I Would spend 30 More Dollars and get the Hissatsu . Awesome Knife, Super Fast and Sharp. Locks with Authority, Sounds Like a 12 Gauge when you Rack the Slide .Everyone knows that Sound.... David N.C. ***CRKT RESPONSE - The manual locks are set to be manually engaged so there is an action that has to be taken on the part of the user to lock the manual lock. Not sure what the 50% of the time means. Please let us know at Customer Service if you feel that it is not setting correctly. We can take care of that for you. Thank you, CRKT http://www.crkt.com/contact

I bought this knife after getting the Hisatsu folder. I actually like this knife a bit better. It isn't as stiff opening as the other. I find it a great all around knife and recommend it highly.

I am impressed with its solid design and blade lines, a very handy knife. Only changes I would make would be to swap the etching and clip for more practical accessability and use, and make the overall length of the knife an inch longer.

Since I bought this knife I have hardly been able to put it down. I carry this knife with me every time I go out in the city. The outburst assist is awsome snappy and smooth at the same time. The knife has a nice heft to it , and is really overbuilt for strength. Columbia River Knife and Tool make excellent products, well built and made with high quality materials. The James Williams Heiho is an impressive tool. Get one today

I purchased the Heiho at the same time that I purchased the Hissatsu Folder. Both knives were exactly what I was looking for - well designed and manufactured - operation on both would be hard to beat. Just wonder why the Heiho is labled as Hissatsu2 on the blade - reguardless I consider them both to be my favorites and carry both daily. Hats off to Mr. Williams and CRKT for producing more excellent knives.

I recently bought one of these and have to say that I'm very much delighted.
While I had the Hissatsu folder, it's a bit large and heavy to carry on a daily basis. The Heiho (sometimes called the Hissatsu 2) is equally well-made, was very sharp as delivered and is much more practical for every-day carry.
Its size fits my hand beautifully (I'm about 5' 8", 165 lbs.) and takes up almost no space when clipped to my belt or in a pocket. and the automatic opening feature is not difficult to operate at all, at least for me.
The only things I might change would be to have a somewhat "grippier" handle and the addition of the Autolawks, although that might make it bulkier and/or more expensive.
Bottom line: I love it, and (if lost) would get another in a heartbeat.

I bought two of these, one for myself and the other as a gift for my partner at work. It is a great little knife, just what I was looking for as a primary in a suit and tie and a nice extra knife when wearing jeans.
CRKT service was outstanding through the purchase and they shipped quickly. I'll gladly buy from them again.
