First, let me say I'm not big on "Made in China" knives. However, I do like this knife and it seems to be of good quality. It looks nice, feels good and was extremely sharp out of the box. My only complaint is the "assisted" opening seems a little erratic. My first two times, it worked very well. After that, it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I'm hoping it will get better with practice. I wish the release button was a little larger and not quite as sharp. If the opening was not so quirky, I would have given it five stars.
Fine knife with one draw back. The Fire safe pin doesn't always align with the pass- thru hole making it difficult to open. I cannot recommend this for quick deployment situations. This may be a defect with my knife only but this is review of my knife ***CRKT RESPONSE - This is a defect in this knife and CRKT reached out to the customer for a replacement. **

This is one good looking knife with good fit and finish. I would recommend this knife to anyone who is looking for a knife for everyday carry.
i have been carrying the 1050k fire spark for over 9 months . it is my every day carry knife . it took me a while to get used to one hand open/close operation but now i am quite proficient and the 1050k is razor sharp . i have never used it to cut anything -- even a piece of paper -- just to keep the blade 100% sharp . i hope i will never have to use it for self defense but i feel safer knowing it is clipped to my front pocket . the 1050k is the best knife for every day carry available on the internet . it is a classic .
The Fire Spark is a hefty knife that fits well to my hands; the finger grooves assure a secure grasp. It's a keeper. The Fire Spark OutBurst Assist is designed as a "right handed knife", but I want a knife, other than a flipper opener, with which I can be ambidextrous. It took me three weeks before I opened the Fire Spark for the first time with my left forefinger and another week before I established the muscle memory of my left hand's forefinger. It's a subtle action in contrast to the right hand thumb engaging the OutBurst assist. Place the left forefinger (where the nail cutting edge begins) in contact with thumb stud and, with slight pressure, extend finger (nudge) the stud approx. 30°. Simple when you've performed the action twice. The Fire Spark is sharp out of the box: Be wary.
Very Nice Tool Is now my EDC after losing a first generation M21-14. It's so sharp out of the box. It fits my large hands and the Outburst feature is strong and sure. My only issue is the minimal stippling on the
I highly recommend this product
Was looking for a EDC knife just a little smaller, but was glad I chose the Fire Spark. It fits perfect in my hand. Very sharp right out of the box. Good weight. I am use to the L.A.W.K.S. system as I own another CRKT knife with it. The Outburst assisted opening took a little bit of getting use to. A perfect knife for me.

I was expecting a knife that would fit my hand better than this. I feel that it is a little small for me. It is undoubtedly very well made and extremely sharp. This knife is a keeper and I would look to purchase a cousin of this Firespark that has a little more size to it. Understand that buying through the internet is very chancy. CRKT offers quality knives, but nothing can compete with holding the knife in your hands and being totally satisfied that the feel and heft fit your needs. Go to a CRKT distributor and surmise what is right for you. Its the only way.
It's ok. Very sharp edge. Fast opening. A bit heavy. Good jimping. The grip is very smooth. I prefer a more aggressive handle. The open assist and safety takes a little getting use to.
