I had one of these a few years ago. Very nice little knife for what it is. I neck carried it in the original sheath. I also had to modify the sheath to hold the knife, I wrapped several tight wraps of electrical tape around it to hold the knife. I carried it like that for nearly a year, but lost it in the woods deer hunting, when it fell out of it's sheath. I will be getting another soon. I still have my original sheath and will compare it to the new one when it arrives.

i like this knife, wear it around my neck just in case of a crash to cut myself out.or for the person who sticks his hand in my window.the only thing i dont like about it is that it falls out of its carrier,i have to use a rubber band to hold it in place.and you people in N.J. had better get yourself a book on knife laws of the 50 states..your not going to be happy with what you read. ***Each knife is QC'd before it leaves the building here in Oregon. Please let us know about the sheath via customer service and we can have the part sent out to you if it's defective. Thank you, CRKT.

I realy like this knife...I have two. It takes an edge very well and stays sharp through a ton of use. Its small and easy to carry, a perfect tool ranch life. The only draw back is that the sheath is not a real tight fit, although the knife has never fallen out I still pay attention to it all the time.

I have been extremely impressed with this knife, the simplicity combined with the design of it makes it quite a compliment catcher. The only flaw I have found with it is that the sheath has loosened slightly since I got it and it has slipped out a few times but regardless I would definitly purchase it again.

Nice little knife. Works well in a pinch. Easy to carry any way you can think of. I was not impressed to much with the edge on the one I bought, but it did not take much to touch up the edge. I did like the bottle opener.

Just bought this knife. Needs to have a removable clip on the sheath so it can be attached or hooked on a belt and then removed for use with the MercHarness. Also, Gabe out of New Jersey is wrong about this knife being Illegal. NJ law states knifes with a BLADE LENGTH of over 5 inches is illegal to carry. Even Federal law allows a knife with a blade of 2.25 inches to be carried.
sharper than a shraight razor. hella sharp. you WILL cut yourself if you treat this as a toy. takes two 180 degree turns to open a bottle. that's not it's strong point. nor is the neck carry. its illegal in nj the state i live in. even if it wasnt, the neck sheth is too big. make it pocket carry.

it's a little small in my hand, butI have larger hands, yet it is still not uncomfortable. the neck lanyard/chain is extremely functional. I got this knife for hiking as it was easy to get to and didn't have to be in my pockets or pack. I could definitely see the Dogfish being great out on the water too. and i have to say, I never espected it, but I use the can opener tab for all sorts of things. If CRKT were to produce a larger brother I'd likely consider that too with the Dogfish playing the role of backup.
