Tualatin, Oregon, U.S.A.— January 1, 2013

Taming the outdoors just got a whole lot easier with these great fixed blade and folding knife designs. Heck, and at this price the Free Range ®Hunter Series should be an easy choice to make.

Columbia River Knife & Tool® has once again teamed up with custom knifemaker and longtime Alaskan hunting and fishing guide Russ Kommer for the Free Range® Hunter Series. Featuring both fixed blade and folding knife designs, these not only offer the outdoorsman plenty of cutting utility, but they are reasonably priced to fit every gear bag as well. And who doesn't like to save a little money where you can?!

At a fraction over 9-inches in length, the fixed blades are ideally sized for active carry while still providing plenty of blade length. In either a clip-point blade style, or drop-point with gut hook, their high-hollow grind provides for plenty of usable razor-sharp cutting edge. For carry, you will find the multi-function reinforced nylon fabric sheath to be a nice compliment to the knife package.

The Free Range® Hunter folders are of the tried and true lockback variety, keeping things less complicated, and still plenty safe. A 3.75-inch blade unfolds single-handedly with the use of an ambidextrous thumb-stud to have you cutting in no time. Folders are offered with clip-point blade, or as a drop-point blade with an incorporated gut hook. A pouch style, belt-carry sheath makes packing the knife simple and always accessible.

All knife models are built with an all-weather, injection-molded handle, shaped and contoured to provide solid grip with or without gloved hands. Individual finger grooves and palm swell are molded slightly softer and textured to aid in overall grip.

The Free Range® Hunter Series of knives is destined to be a part of many outdoor adventures for years to come!

This series of knives offers the outdoorsman the performance value to keep them coming back for more with manufacturer's suggested retail price of only $49.99 for each of the fixed blade models, and $49.99 for each of the lockback folders.

Available in clampack as 2040C, 2041C, 2042C and 2043C.
